Class Descriptions
RESTORATIVE: Also known as ‘props yoga’, the passive practice of Restorative yoga is a profoundly relaxing sequence of restful, nourishing postures, breathing techniques, and simple meditations. This supported practice provides an effective way to manage the effects of stress, relieve pain of chronic injuries, and maintain health and peace of mind. Yoga props, music, and readings are used to assist in renewing and settling your body, breath, mind, and spirit. ALL LEVELS. 75 minutes.
FOUNDATIONS: Learn and practice the basics of yoga in a slower paced class format. Also learn modifications for classic poses. Focus is given to working with intent to establish a strong foundation through standing poses and abdominal strengthening. This is a great introduction to yoga that cultivates more inner body awareness preparing for more advanced work in flow yoga. ALL LEVELS. 75 minutes.
ALIGN & FLOW: Flow from pose to pose with attention to alignment. Focus is given to finding stability in all poses through alignment for a safe and deep practice. ALL LEVELS or INT/ADV. 75 minutes.
FLOW: Prepare to move. Continuously flowing poses linked with consistent awareness of the yogic breath. ALL LEVELS or INT/ADV 75 minutes
HOT FLOW: Practiced in a heated studio. Hot Flow combines a specialized sequence of postures with focused rhythmic breath work. This class is suitable for anyone wishing to practice yoga, but requires that you be able to move up and down from the floor and have a basic knowledge of poses and terminology. Water and towel required.. INTERMEDIATE 75 minutes
GENTLE YOGA: A gentle approach to the practice of yoga. Soothing stretches and movements to nourish your whole body mind and spirit. ALL LEVELS. 75 minutes.
HIP HOP YOGA: Get your groove on yoga-style! This class pairs vinyasa flows with energetic beats to raise your heart rate and your spirits. Add a playful element to your practice as you lose yourself in the music. INTERMEDIATE 75 Minutes
