Class Descriptions

Some Like It… Tropical
Any ‘Tropical’ class on the schedule specifies a ‘hot yoga’ experience. The studio is pre-warmed to approximately 90℉ so that your practice will tap the detoxifying and ‘reducing’ benefits of deep sweating.  Towel and water are required for Tropical classes.

Beginner / All Levels

Brand New Beginner
A 4-class series dedicated to learning about the practice of yoga in a non-intimidating environment, in which people can find comfort in their body. We’ll work on good alignment principles, learn some breathing and meditation techniques, and begin to explore new postures from the ground up. What’s nice about the series is that it is a great way to commit to practicing and learning, which can be hard if you are just starting out. It also always feels supportive and encouraging to be in a room with other people around your same level. Due to the progressive learning nature of the series there are no drop-ins allowed. Meets 1x per week over 4 weeks and is offered consistently throughout the year.
Foundations
Learn and practice the basics of yoga poses and breath awareness in a class format that skillfully balances effort and ease. Focus is given to proper alignment and form and inner-body awareness. We work on establishing a strong connection to foundation through standing poses and abdominal strengthening. Here we begin the exploration of breath work and basic meditation. This is a great introduction to yoga practice.
Gentle Yoga
Nice and easy movement with breath awareness is all we need to open ourselves to optimal energy flow inside and out. Cultivate graceful movement and relax stressed  muscles in your body with a gentle practice.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is a profoundly restful sequence of nourishing postures, breathing techniques, and simple meditations. Yoga props such as bolster pillows, folded blankets, and yoga straps, support the body on the floor. Restorative Yoga provides an effective way to manage stress and maintain health and peace of mind. Reconnect, relax, renew, and restore.
Slow Flow Yoga
Release stress and slow down  with this slower paced class that flows slowly to allow you to go deeper and explore the poses. Cultivate strength, energy, and flexibility in   mellow flowing sequences and relaxation poses.

Experienced Beginners / Intermediate
Vinyasa Flow
Tap into your natural rhythms and let your body follow! Continuously flowing yoga poses linked with consistent deep yogic breath. Concludes with restorative poses to balance your energy.
